How We Calculate This
The calculator estimates cleaning time based on fridge type and condition, with extra time for shelves, drawers and defrosting.
Base times
- Under-counter: 15 minutes
- Standard fridge-freezer: 25 minutes
- American style: 40 minutes
- Larder fridge: 20 minutes
Condition multiplier
Light: 0.75x | Moderate: 1.0x | Heavy: 1.5x
Defrosting adds 30 minutes. Each shelf adds ~2 minutes.
