How the calculation works
This calculator adds up time estimates for each area and piece of equipment in the kitchen.
Base times by kitchen size
- Small (under 20 m²): 3 hours base
- Medium (20-50 m²): 6 hours base
- Large (50-100 m²): 10 hours base
- Extra large (100+ m²): 15 hours base
Equipment time additions
- Oven: 45 mins each
- Fryer: 30 mins each
- Extraction hood: 60 mins each
- Fridge/freezer: 25 mins each
Finish time = total labour minutes ÷ number of staff
